Hyatt Spring Sale Offers 20-30% Off Two Nights or More

Hyatt is running a special sale providing discounts of 20-30% off stays of two or three nights when you book by April 28 and stay by June 12. You must use the offer code SPSALE when you book in order to search for this discounted inventory. (HT Loyalty Lobby)

While I always have some nagging criticism of the once- or twice-monthly 48-hour sales that Hyatt runs with regularity, I actually think this one is pretty good.

For starters, you have a long time to book. I hate being put under pressure to book a non-refundable rate within 48 hours, and usually with only 36 hours left by the time I learn about it. Second, this is a potentially larger discount than the 48-hour sales, which tend to offer only 20% at most, comparable to the My Elite rates that Gold Passport Platinum and Diamond members already have access to. Third, I do my best but always have a difficult time getting a list of participating properties for the 48-hour sales. This Spring Sale has all the participating properties already listed.

There are three groups of hotels:

• Some offer only 20% off stays of two nights or more
• Some offer 20% off stays of two nights or more, and 25% off stays of three nights or more
• Some offer 20% off stays of two nights or more, and 30% off stays of three nights or more

In this last group we have the following properties, but there are over 100 participating hotels by my rough estimation — much more than for most sales.

You would still be wise to check out your preferred property for the standard AAA, Costco, or corporate discounts to which you may be entitled, since these rates are often refundable and can be rebooked if prices drop further. And if you need to find a My Elite rate, don’t forget that there’s a special trick to making those appear. You’ll need to run at least two separate searches.
