Vote for Your Favorite Loyalty Program in the Freddie Awards

This weekend I voted in the annual Freddie Awards, which recognize the best airline and hotel loyalty programs overall, the best promotions, the best redemption ability, and so on. It’s even broken down into separate geographic regions if you live outside North America and don’t think you can offer meaningful comment on our local competitors.

After completing the voting process, you’ll be presented with the change to participate in some bonus offers from various sponsors. I found that most of these weren’t actually promotions but rather just links to the sponsors’ websites. However, a few good opportunities are available.

MilePoint is giving away an iPad Mini to anyone who signs up and posts a comment. (When I originally signed up, the promotion was for a $500 Amex gift card. I’m not sure if the offer has changed or if two different offers are available.)

USA Today will invite you to sign up for their frequent traveler panel, which puts you in line to be interviewed for upcoming articles.

Priority Pass is offering a discount of 20% on new memberships. (I recently reviewed Priority Pass for LoungeBuddy if you are interested in learning more.)

Priority Pass Freddies discounts

Freddies will be awarded on Thursday, April 24, before FTU Seattle begins that weekend. And those of you coming to FTU Seattle this year may want to arrive early to attend the Travel Executive Summit on Thursday morning, attended by several loyalty program representatives. Tickets are now on sale for $99. I’m not sure if or when tickets to the award ceremony will go on sale, but MilePoint is currently running a contest that includes a free ticket to FTU and the Freddies.
